Year 6 Camp

This week has gone so quickly. It is our last night and even though we have a few things on tomorrow before we leave we are sad that our trip is nearly over. Everyone has had the time of their lives. We are very proud of the kids for representing our school so well. We had so many comments about how good they were.
We all got to know each other more, experienced things we may never experience again, ate some great food, bought some wonderful things for our families back home and most importantly we all had fun. We hope you have enjoyed the photos of our journey and we can't wait to see you all tomorrow to share our experiences.

What an amazing experience today. The exhibitions were interactive and full of real clothes, weapons, planes, submarines....... from all the wars Australia has been involved in. We also participated in a wreath laying ceremony and had a chat with a war veteran. Reading and hearing the stories of war was very moving for everyone.
Well we thought it was a cold night in Canberra last night until we went ice skating. It may have been 1 degree outside but it was -15 degrees inside. But that didn't stop us. We had a few falls but no one needed an ice-pack. They just laid for a few minutes on the ice - all good! Some woke up in the morning with some sore body parts - especially the adults. It was a great fun night. A lot of photos were taken but strangely they went missing. They will be hunted down and posted soon :-)
